Eddy Mentzer is Associate Director for the Family Readiness, and he is a directorate in the Office of Military Family Readiness Policy within Military Community and Family Policy. He will be giving a seminar at the upcoming Virtual Military Spouse Symposium. Mentzer seeks to help military spouses who are having difficulties finding and keeping steady employment. Military spouses have issues unique to their category, and therefore need specialized attention and care. For example, military spouses face anti-military bias. Military spouses, since they may travel often, also face challenges in transferring their professional licenses from state to state.
- During the upcoming Virtual Military Spouse Symposium, during May of 2018, Eddy Mentzer will be leading a seminar.
- Mentzer’s seminar will be directed toward helping the spouses of those in the military with employment.
- Mentzer’s seminar will also address gender differences when it comes to male and female military spouses searching for employment.
